ABOUT RUN F.A.R. 5K
The Fibroid Pandemic in conjunction with Pad The Pandemic Foundation has curated the USATF certified Run F.A.R. 5K, a dynamic global run walk movement, designed to ignite awareness, deliver education, and provide vital resources and healing solutions to combat the growing fibroid pandemic —non-cancerous tumors of the uterus plaguing over 70% of humans with a uterus. This is not a sporting event, nor is it an ordinary run walk. It’s a powerful community-driven initiative with a mission to inspire change and promote wellness worldwide.

LaToya Dwight is the visionary behind the RUN F.A.R.™ 5K and a passionate advocate for fibroids awareness. After facing the challenges of living with uterine fibroid herself, LaToya made the courageous decision to turn her pain into purpose. Her journey inspired her to create a space where women could feel seen, supported, and empowered while also raising awareness and providing resources for those impacted by this condition.
What began as a personal struggle grew into a mission to educate and inspire others. LaToya founded RUN F.A.R.™ (Fibroid Awareness and Resources) to shine a light on the often-overlooked realities of fibroid and to foster a sense of community and connection among those affected. Through initiatives like the RUN F.A.R.™ 5K, fibroid awareness brunches, and accessible resources, she has created meaningful opportunities to help others on their own journeys.
LaToya’s story is a powerful reminder of how adversity can be transformed into action. Her commitment to raising awareness and advocating for fibroid education has already made an incredible impact, and she continues to inspire others to take their own steps toward health, healing, and empowerment.
With RUN F.A.R.™, Latoya is leading the way—empowering women, raising awareness, and transforming lives—one step at a time.
